The true church is supposed to follow Jesus Christ and commune with Him. It is also supposed to help people follow Him.
The bible tells us in 1 Thess 5:17 to pray without ceasing. In 2 Tim 2:15 i says to study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.
I magine a place where there are no tears, sorrows, pain or death. A place of perfect peace and joy shall never end. This is the kind of place that Jesus Christ wants to give us.
The Kingdom of God is real. But we must live a life that is separate from the world. 1 John 2:15 "Love not the world neither the things that are in the world if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
Since the the fall of mankind this world has become polluted with the ways of Satan designed to separate mankind from God and ultimately The Kingdom of God. Satan temps people with desires pleasing to flesh. But to follow this and not Jesus Christ will endanger your soul. In the Kingdom of God Satan and his ways will not be allowed in The Kingdom of God. Satan who deceived himself deceives and ultimately causes destruction to the soul if we follow him. Satan is polluted with darkness and has no redemption. We as as humanity have an opportunity of redemption through Jesus Christ.
The only way we can have victory over the deception of Satan is through Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18 " And Jesus came unto them saying all power is given unto me in heave and in earth. That means power over sin, death, fear, time and everything else. Yet he wants us to walk in power, love and sound mind. How can we have power, love and a sound mind? We have repent and follow Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was born as man. God was manifest in the flesh. He lived a life separate from the ways of the world. He was crucified yet lives because Jesus is God Almighty. Acts 2:38 " And Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Baptism is an act of obedience. If Adam and Eve would have obeyed God and not eaten of the forbidden fruit they would still be in the garden of Eden. But it was not so to be so here we are. Baptism also represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ who died and let lives.
This same Jesus Christ who died yet lives wants to give us an eternity on no tears, sorrows pain or death. But we must obey and follow.
